Hollywood Heights News

In the June 1990 edition of the Hollywood Heights View (edited by legendary journalist and longtime resident Theo Wilson), the president of the Hollywood Heights Association proclaimed the neighborhood had received official designation and signs would be up “within a few months.”

33 years later, thanks to the collaboration between CD4 and the Hollywood Heights Association board, we now have our signs.

We guess you could say we are finally “HiHo-fficial.”

Special shout out to Board President Todd Henricks, CD4 field deputy Joseph Siroky and Councilmember Nithya Raman for pushing this through!

The first ever Hollywood Heights Spring Block Party was a huge success! Thanks to all the great neighbors (people, dogs, cats and snakes!) who came out to play. For neighbors who haven’t yet joined the association, please click here to do so now. The more members we have, the more great things we can do for our wonderful Hollywood Heights neighborhood! ☀️😎

There’s something brewing in Hollywood Heights. Black-Owned, Family-Owned & Community-Owned, South LA is on a mission to provide South Central LA with fresh, affordable, and healthy food options for their neighbors.

And now they are operating in the Hollywood Bowl concession area daily from 7AM to 3PM.

Stop in on your daily walk or drive in on your way out of town. There’s plenty of parking in the Bowl lot.

The Little Free Library made its debut on Rockledge Road today. In Memory of Morgan Woodward, long time “King of Rockledge Road.” Morgan was a long time resident of Hollywood Heights, long time member of Hollywood Heights Association and even served on its Board. He loved this neighborhood and was an advocate for the neighborhood trees. Hollywood Heights Association remembers Morgan!
